“The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest (teach) their patients in the care of the human frame, and in the cause and prevention of disease.” ~Thomas Edison~

Holistic health practitioners are professionals who provide holistic health-related services and include counselors, reiki practitioners, doctors, nurses, nutritionists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Holistic practitioners take into consideration the whole person, including physical, mental and spiritual aspects, when treating a health condition or promoting wellness. Holistic health practitioners employ complementary methods and alternative approaches to health in their practices. By providing holistic care – meeting both the spiritual as well as the physical care of the patient – people who word in the caring professions have a very special role in helping the dying. Holistic care is a concept receiving increasing attention across the caring profession. In short, it involves recognition that the needs of the dying patient go beyond just the clinical and the physical. It also emphasizes the responsibility of all those who are providing care for the dying to both look out for and address the spiritual needs of their patients. Spiritual needs can include ethical concerns (e.g. a need for forgiveness), questions about meaning (e.g. a need to ‘make sense’ of what is happening) or specifically religious issues such as the need to see a priest or minister.

The End of Life Doula movement may be in its early stages but it is a worthwhile cause. By definition End of Life Doulas provide support and comfort to the dying person and their family. Death has always been a difficult subject for many.  It is a time of loss. But it is also a time of appreciation, a time of retrospection and the opportunity to share intimately with loved ones. End of Life Doulas are trained to be an integral part of the end of life process and provide essential non-medical support to a dying person and their family. Services vary based on the Doula’s experience and background that they bring to their training, and may include education and guidance, as well as compassionate care support in the emotional, spiritual, mental and practical life domains.

With focused intent, we can heal anything, there is only one spirit, one mind and we are all part of this collective intelligence and love.

We are all made of energy. Our bodies are actually a mixture of empty space, light-waves and pure energy. All of it pulsating, dancing, mixing and twirling on subatomic levels which which in turn fuel these powerhouses of possibility we call bodies. Everything we know here on earth, each thing we can touch, taste and smell, these are also made of energy. It is all just energy. Nothing more. Nothing less. Complex yet simple.

Holistic and energy therapy are physical tools that heal and alter the energetic imprint contained within our body. All holistic and energy treatments shift our energy so that we can feel better. So that we can be better.

Holistic and energy therapy are about possibility. There is no can’t, won’t or shouldn’t. It is one of the most hopeful and optimistic aspects of healing, using light and love, the pure energies of Source which flows through all life on earth, to improve our condition.

Holistic and energy therapy balances in-harmonies on an emotional, physical and spiritual level. They may be used to heal the mind and ease the bodily discomfort stemming from emotion or spiritual issues.

Unlike conventional medicines, side-effects from holistic and energy therapy tend to be minimal, although sometimes a ‘healing crisis’ may occur, wherein the subject initially feels worse as the therapy drives the toxins from the body and re-aligns our polarity.

Before one can begin to bring their body back into balance and facilitate a state of self-healing, they need to reawaken their mind-soul connection. It is not enough to simply live life, one needs to love life!
